June 10, 2006 was a beautiful day in Cheboygan, Michigan with a clear sky and the temperature in the low 60s. On
this special day, approximately 2,500 people gathered to witness the decommisioning of the"Big Mac" and the commissioning
of the "New Mac."
The diginitaries started arriving at 12:30pm. Pictured is Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert and Jean Hastert.
Also arriving was Rear Admiral John Crowley Jr., Admiral Thad Allen, Commander Joseph McGuiness, Commander John Little, and
Congressman Bart Stupak.
